Moved to Australia and painted in watercolor for one year in North Queensland, moved to Melbourne and had solo shows at the Originals Gallery and Whitehorse Gallery. I had paintings in oil and watercolor continually on exhibit at these galleries. A number of these paintings found homes in Australia, New Zealand, Italy and Germany. During this time I also played drums with various jazz groups and Australian Cruise lines.
Upon my return to Vancouver I met and married my wife Carolyn and began the adventure of raising our two daughters in New Westminster. I was employed as an artist at Artcraft Advertising and worked as a drummer with many established jazz groups and leaders. Part of the music scene was many jazz festivals in Vancouver, Victoria and venues in the western United States..
The past 19 years have involved productions in animation background painting and layout, then the film industry as a scenic artist.
My main interest in art is figurative…faces with character….. every face is a landscape.
My intension is that the images on this site speak for themselves.
